NVIDIA has released GeForce Game Ready Driver 616.64 WHQL for 64-bit Windows 10 and Windows 11. Published on September 3, 2026, the DCH package supersedes version 616.56 WHQL from August 26. Its complete Windows driver build is 32.0.16.1664. The primary addition is Game Ready support for NBA 2K27, including the game’s implementation of DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering. This technology uses game-engine information and an artist-guided neural model to modify lighting and material rendering. In NBA 2K27, it is used for effects including skin subsurface scattering, contact shadows, facial-hair lighting and ambient occlusion. DLSS 5 is currently limited to GeForce RTX 50-series GPUs. NBA 2K27 also supports DLSS Super Resolution, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, NVIDIA Reflex and ray-traced reflections. NVIDIA claims up to 370 FPS at 4K with Ultra settings and ray tracing on a GeForce RTX 5090 when the available DLSS technologies are combined. This is a manufacturer result rather than an independently verified benchmark.
Driver 616.64 additionally provides support for Onimusha: Way of the Sword. Compatible GeForce RTX systems can use DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution, Multi Frame Generation, DLAA, Reflex and ray-traced reflections in the game.
The driver works with a new NVIDIA App update and NVIDIA Streamline 2.14 to support frame-rate limiters and V-Sync when DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation is enabled on RTX 50-series hardware. Streamline 2.14 is downloaded automatically after restarting the system.
NVIDIA has not listed any gaming or general bug fixes for version 616.64. The official release notes identify both fixed-issue sections as not applicable.
Two open driver issues are documented. The Prefer Maximum Performance power-management setting may not always be applied correctly. Users may also encounter intermittent browser flickering while navigating certain websites. NVIDIA separately warns that some systems can experience difficulties installing the DCH Control Panel through the Microsoft Store.
The release changes NVIDIA’s OpenCL implementation by making its newer Clang and NVVM 7.0-based compiler the default. It adds native 16-bit floating-point and 128-bit integer support, upgraded math libraries and stricter error checking. Older OpenCL code relying on previously accepted behavior may consequently require changes.
Supported desktop hardware includes GeForce RTX 50, 40, 30 and 20-series GPUs, GeForce GTX 16-series products and Titan RTX. The package contains HD Audio Driver 1.4.6.3, PhysX System Software 9.26.0703, CUDA 13.4 and DCH Control Panel 8.1.969.0.
